FAQ
Channel Intelligence: Common Questions
Straight answers to your questions about YouTube channel management.
How is this different from everything else I've seen?
Most YouTube help stops at production - a sharper thumbnail, a tighter edit, more consistent filming.
Channel Intelligence is the measurement and market layer that's usually missing on top of all that: a monthly reconciliation of what YouTube's dashboard says happened against what your business actually banked, where viewers leave each video and why, who's moving in your search lanes, and whether a competitor's blow-up is real demand or paid reach.
It runs on 15 unique tools Stewart coded himself, and every finding is filtered personally by him before it reaches you, not templated out by a junior account manager.
Do I need to commit to a long contract?
Yes - six months to start, then monthly rolling. YouTube reads in test-and-iterate cycles: a ranking cycle takes six to ten weeks, so three months is one cycle and an anecdote, while six months is three cycles and a trend. There's also a one-time £497 wiring fee covering the onboarding work: attribution and tracked links connected, one custom landing page written and built, a deep-dive audit of the channel's full history, and your enquiry baseline recorded before anything changes.
What's in it for me?
You finally understand your channel's true ROI, and you stop paying for a channel on faith.
Each month you get the Channel Intelligence Brief (two ledgers reconciled: what YouTube says happened against what your channel actually returned), a personal video walkthrough of what the numbers mean, where viewers drop off in every video, the Competitor Watchtower on your search lanes, an AI visibility check, and the leads ledger tracing every enquiry back to the video that sent it.
Can't YouTube's own AI do all this?
No. Use Ask Studio, the AI built into YouTube Studio. Stewart does, and it's just one of the tools you need, but there are four things it can't do. It only knows your channel, so every answer is drawn from your own history rather than live search demand, the real results pages or what your competitors are doing. It can't see your business, so it doesn't know which videos booked calls or what an enquiry is worth to you. It forgets you between sessions, where the record of your channel compounds month after month. And it works for its own boss: Ask Studio makes your channel better for YouTube, while Stewart tells you whether that's the right thing for your business, measured against your market and your pipeline.
What about research tools like vidIQ?
Stewart uses vidIQ every week. It is good at the job it is built for: surfacing video ideas, spotting outliers, and pulling channel data at a scale no person could match by hand. The care is needed at the next step, when one of its numbers is about to become a decision.
vidIQ are open about this themselves. Their published list of AI Coach limitations says "AI can make mistakes. Always double-check important stats", and notes that answers can seem "off-topic, inaccurate, or unexpected". So a research tool tells you where to look, and somebody else has to tell you what is true. Four things we check before a figure reaches you:
- Search volumes get re-pulled. Checked against Google Ads data, one keyword set came back between 5 and 954 times the tool's figure, so every volume we quote is re-pulled and labelled with its source and country.
- A zero means missing data, not no demand. One term scored at zero volume was really 1,600 US searches a month at around $43 a click, and it was the client's own product category.
- Competition scores compare demand against supply. They say nothing about how strong the videos already ranking are, so we read the actual results page before calling anything a gap.
- Keywords get checked against what people mean. Most of what YouTube suggests for "imposter syndrome" is a song of that name.
None of this makes vidIQ a bad tool. It is a starting point, and the additional custom tools that provide the verification that follows, under the supervision of a senior YouTube strategist, are what you're getting.
How do I know this is real?
By the results named clients put their name to. On the YouTube work: Marisa Peer's channel saw multiple 6-figure revenue, Adam Stott's BBE got 3x views per video, and Nicky Anstey hit 25,000 views in 4 weeks. Two further clients came from lead generation and positioning work rather than YouTube, and are named here as that: DRE Composite generated 6-figure revenue in 11 months, and Pip Dean saw a 10x increase in new leads in six weeks. Full quotes and case studies are on the testimonials page. Every finding in your own reports is cross-checked against independent data sources and personally audited by Stewart before it reaches you.
Why now?
There's more attention on YouTube right now than most businesses have ever put into it. Most of your competitors are still doing YouTube wrong - filming without checking real demand, packaging as an afterthought, no route from the video to an enquiry - and that's the gap you can win in your niche before everyone else catches on. It's also the moment Channel Intelligence launched: a groundbreaking YouTube strategy service built to close that gap for you. You'll see your first proof inside 30 days, so there's no long wait to find out whether it's working.
Why should I trust you?
Stewart has personally run YouTube channel management for 8-figure businesses, coded his own suite of 15 unique channel analysis tools to do it, and reviews every finding himself before it reaches you as your senior-level channel authority, not a junior account manager working from a template. His full background and client list are on the About page.
How does it work?
It starts with the wiring: attribution and tracked links connected to your channel, and your enquiry baseline recorded before anything changes. So from day one, every enquiry can be traced back to the video that produced it, and anything the channel adds later can be proved.
Then it runs monthly:
- The Channel Intelligence Brief - what YouTube says happened, reconciled against what your channel actually returned
- A personal video walkthrough of what the numbers mean
- One clear number for what last month returned
- Every video judged on what it sent the business
- The Competitor Watchtower - who entered, held or faded in your search lanes
- An AI visibility check - whether the AI tools your buyers use name you, or a competitor
- A leads ledger tracing every enquiry back to the video that sent it
Every verdict is logged and scored against what actually happened. The engine learns your channel as it runs, getting sharper about your audience with every video you make.
How can I get started?
Message Stewart on WhatsApp, email him, or connect on LinkedIn and tell him what you're working on - he'll tell you, straight, whether he can help. If it's a fit, the wiring gets your tracking connected, your landing page built and your baseline recorded, and the monthly engine starts from there.
What if I want more than the numbers?
Channel Intelligence is the starting point. If the reporting shows you need someone to decide what to make next, or to make it, I do both, and we talk about it when your own numbers say it is the right move. Your current month is credited against month one of any step up.
What do I have to lose?
You'll see your first proof inside 30 days, so you find out quickly whether it's working. After the six-month term it rolls monthly, and you can stop whenever it stops earning its keep.
